Fram as of 31 December 2023<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\n<\/div>\n<p>When building the gas pipeline network, we comply with the relevant regulations, fire protection and occupational safety laws, and refer to the relevant German regulations on gas engineering and technology \u2013 DVGW \u2013 for cases not yet defined by Slovenian standards.<\/p>\n<p>As the natural gas entering the distribution network through the transmission network is odourless and tasteless, for safety reasons, an odorisation device is installed at the metering control stations (MRP) to mix the odorant with the gas in the appropriate proportion to detect and sense any gas leaks. It is important to note that the odorant has no effect on the combustion of natural gas.<\/p>\n<p>The transmission pipeline network usually flows gas at high pressures \u2013 from 50 to 100 bar \u2013 while the medium- and low-pressure distribution pipelines operated by Plinarna Maribor have pressures ranging from 100 mbar to 10 bar. High-pressure gas pipelines are made of steel, while medium- and low-pressure pipelines are mainly made of polyethylene pipes.<\/p>\n<p>Plinarna Maribor employs highly and professionally qualified staff that can handle any task, no matter how demanding, in the field of construction and maintenance of gas pipeline infrastructure.<\/p>\n\t<div id=\"gap-2090951176\" class=\"gap-element clearfix\" style=\"display:block; height:auto;\">\n\t\t\n<style>\n#gap-2090951176 {\n  padding-top: 30px;\n}\n<\/style>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\n\t<div id=\"text-2692918015\" class=\"text\">\n\t\t\n<h3 class=\"s-tit bfr-green\">How is natural gas distributed?<\/h3>\n\t\t\n<style>\n#text-2692918015 {\n  font-size: 1.2rem;\n}\n<\/style>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Natural gas distribution is an optional public utility service and involves the transport of natural gas through local or regional pipeline networks to supply final customers \u2013 without delivery. Plinarna Maribor performs the tasks of an optional public utility in certain geographical areas on the basis of concession contracts with local communities. This activity is regulated by the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.agen-rs.si\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Energy Agency<\/a><\/span> \u2013 the regulator of the natural gas market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Plinarna Maribor is an active member of the Economic Interest Grouping for Natural Gas Distribution \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.giz-dzp.si\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">GIZ DZP<\/span><\/a>. All 13 Distribution System Operators in Slovenia are members of this association.
